INTERVIEW: Chae Jong Hyeop Promises Charming Character In “Love All Play”

KBS2 TV’s new series is gifting a new engrossing character to be played by rising actor Chae Jong Hyeop in Love All Play.

Love All Play chronicles the story of refreshing twenty-five-year-olds Park Tae-yang (Park Ju Hyun) and Park Tae-joon (Chae Jong Hyeop), who are both able to find work in badminton.
Additionally, the drama depicts a blissful sports romance among a team, thus, piquing audiences’ interest in how the players’ stories unfold.
Set to premiere on April 20, Chae Jong Hyeop conveyed stories about the filming of his latest project.
Love All Play
Revealing his reason to work on the series, the actor expressed feeling attracted to the story that focused on badminton as a profession.
“When I first read the script, I was engrossed in the subject of badminton as a profession and the character ‘Park Tae-joon’. As the characters that make up the team have distinct personalities, I was immersed in reading them while imagining the scenes where they were all gathered together.”
He also describes Park Tae-joon as a vibrant character filled with various colors.
“He looks like he’s not serious and smirks on the outside, but when you get to know him, he’s very considerate, serious, and sometimes cute.”

Preparations For His Character

Previously, Chae Jong Hyeop impressed viewers with his portrayals in The Witch’s Diner, Sisyphus The Myth and Stove League.
For his latest role, he affirms making extraordinary efforts to convey the charm of Park Tae-joon, a badminton player. He devotes a lot of time to practicing badminton.
“I’m trying to express Taejoon’s diversity and character growth in an attractive and natural way. I also rehearse in practice to look like a real badminton player. Learning anything in a short period of time does not mean that my skills will improve, but I am practicing to look like a badminton player as much as possible.”


Love All Play’s Cast Synergy

Teamwork in Love All Play is also in full swing as revealed by Chae Jong Hyeop. He reveals practicing together with fellow actors where they played singles or doubles. Reminiscing fondly on the fun moments, he shared that those are memorable for him.
“The days of filming with actors of my age are always full of energy and laughter. So, the filming process was exciting and fun. Each actor draws a character with their own unique color, so it’s nice to work together.”
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama, Love All Play where you can meet Chae Jong Hyeop as Park Tae-joon starts airing on April 20 at 9:50 PM.
