Viewers can look forward to enjoying 26 fresh titles across 7 genres including crime and suspense; heartwarming and inspirational; Asian fantasy; romance; comedy; war and history; as well as animation, available worldwide on the iQiyi International app and on www.iQ.com.

Daring Crime and Action Movie Treats

Set to draw the most viewers are iQiyi’s slew of new crime films. Man on the Edge starring Richie Jen, Simon Yam, Alex Fong and Patrick Tam, follows a cop undercover in a Hong Kong drug trafficking ring. Action-packed Wolf Hiding features Nick Cheung, Ethan Juan and Darren Wang in a clash of police and underworld forces.

Based on a real-life narcotics operation, Raid on the Lethal Zone is led by Oho Ou, Jason Gu, Ham Yu and Huang Yao. Hovering Blade is adapted from a novel by Japanese author Higashino Keigo, brought to life by award-winning male leads Wang Qianyuan and Wang Jingchun. Adapted from the 2016 Spanish box office hit, The Invisible Guest promises epic twists and turns.

International co-production What Remains stars Stellan Skarsgård who recently played Dune’s Baron Harkonnen, and his son Gustaf Skarsgard. Other suspense films include Fading Shadow, a story about a serial murder case spanning 17 years; The Sniper which narrates a retired sniper who plunges on a life-and-death situation; and an internet-addiction-rehab themed story, The Lost Kids.


Heartening Youth Stories

Heartwarming, inspirational and youth-themed films are set to warm viewers’ hearts. Hachiko tells the tale of a loyal dog that waits a decade for its deceased owner to return, with Feng Xiaogang and Joan Chen to bring tears to fans the world over. The Home in the Tree 2 sees the return of the original cast to bring back childhood stories of the 90s.

Youth-themed The Apprentice of Mensa follows youth who dare to be different, PING-PONG OF CHINA inspires the spirit of sportsmanship and competition, while In Our Prime spotlights the reality of young adults making their living in big cities. Bringing the laughs are comedies Mars Project and Sinkhole.

Romance flick Meet You in the Best Time features Youth With You winner Li Wen Han and Xu Ruo Han. It follows the realities of first love through youth and beyond.

Northeastern Bro is a bittersweet comedy of a debt collector who falls for a debtor’s daughter whom he gradually moves with his kindness and perseverance.

Eastern fantasy themes have driven much buzz, as with the ‘new wuxia’ film adaptation of Louis Cha’s masterpiece The Hidden Fox directed by Lu Yang, to tell the story of talented young swordsman Hu Fei seeking to avenge his father’s death by going undercover among the gang of Eight Villains.

Horror flick Skin, by the team behind the 2019 film Mortal Ouija, follows demons that steal the bodies and lives of humans. Charging Out the Prisoner Camp and They Shall Not Pass are films based on historical events that spotlight the ruthlessness of war and fearless heroes.

Animation features like The Mirage House in the Clouds and Master Zhong are also in the iQiyi pipeline.
