Pressured by their peers, the Lee elders make a proposal to the three bachelor sons of the family in It’s Beautiful Now.
The times have changed the perspectives of people about marriage. In the latest weekend family drama on KBS2, we see the signature emphasis on family relationships. This time, it pays attention to the process of marriage among three brothers without an initial inkling to tie the knot.
Opening Week Rating:
It’s Beautiful Now Opening Week Story
Life is seemingly happy and content for the Lee family. The patriarch Lee Kyung-chul (Park In Hwan) lives with his son Min-ho (Park Sang Won) and daughter-in-law Kyung-ae (Kim Hye Ok). He has also generously housed his sister’s family.
When subsequent events pushed the elders of Lee household that time might be running out for their three bachelor sons, they agree to a “marriage project” plan.
At a family meeting, they propose a high-cost apartment for the first person who will get married in six months.
The first son, Yoon-jae, is a dentist by profession. At 40, he still lives with his parents. The second son, Hyun-jae, works as a divorce lawyer. Lastly, the third son, Soo-jae, is studying to pass the civil service exam.
With an offer hard to refuse, Soo-jae right away agreed to the project. Unable to disregard their competitive spirit, his two older brothers positively consider the wager.
It’s Beautiful Now Opening Week Musings
I might be living for the Lee brothers’ interactions with each other and their marriage prospects in the succeeding episodes of It’s Beautiful Now. Neatly acquainting us with the characters that will move in the story, KBS2 TV’s latest family drama is off to a great start.
We shall see how capable the Yoon-jae, Hyun-jae and Soo-jae to sealing marriage. That is because the ladies they are poised to pursue require effort and utmost sincerity.
Out of the three couples set in the story trajectory, we know Hyun-jae might bear more effort than his brothers. Convincing Mi-rae (Bae Da Bin) to commit to another marriage after a failed one is not easy.
If Hyun-jae will come clean right away about the marriage reason, Mi-rae will understand. But who in their right mind would jump from one failed marriage to another one without foundation again?
It’s really interesting how this marriage project will work between them. Moreover, if Mi-rae agrees, that would drive Hyun-jae to win the case against her fraud ex-husband.
Meanwhile, Yoon-jae changing his stoic persona to charm Hae-joon (Sim Dong Mi) draws another reeling point in the series. Based on the preview of next week’s episodes, his transformation looks quite adorable.
Probably Soo-jae has more of an advantage over the Lee brothers. The problem is how he’s going to execute his plan to convince Yoo-na (Choi Ye Bin).
Bound to serve heartening and laughter-inducing moments, It’s Beautiful Now is an adorable drama best served with your loved ones. Prepare though for the long ride since it will go for 50 episodes.
Cap off your weekend with engrossing family and love moments in It’s Beautiful Now on KBS2 TV!
