Queenmaker Opening Episodes Musings
Such flawed and interesting characters abound in Queenmaker that it’s impossible not to be hooked by it.
On her next journey, Do-hee’s mettle will be put to a test as she plans her next move against the company where she poured almost all her life to clean up the mess.
As expected, Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri in one series are phenomenal. Visible in this series is the feminist design to highlight the strength and plight of women.
Introducing a Chaebol family steered by a shrewd matriarch with problematic daughters, Queenmaker also peeks at the lives of the people working to clean up their mess by craftily devising means of swaying public attention.
Deftly written and smartly captured this politics-themed drama is for anyone who wants a serving of insightful relevant societal issues and clever characters moving in the story.
What’s on the horizon for Do-hee now that she left her career spins the story of Queenmaker. How her life tangles with Kyung-sook further is also a point to watch.
