K-Drama Review: “One The Woman” Darts Amusing Dark Horse Story Fueled By A Dauntless Heroine
On the drama, Lee Won Geun suits up as Ahn Yu-jun. He’s a classmate of Yeon-ju’s at the Judicial Research and Training Institute and later worked with him at the Seopyeong District Prosecutor’s Office.
With the recent conclusion of One The Woman, Lee recalls feeling worried for it was his first work after being discharged from the military through an online interview.
He also remarked, “but I was very grateful that I was able to finish it safely thanks to the support of seniors and teachers including Honey Lee.”
For Lee Won Geun, standing in front of the camera for the first time in a very long time felt frightening and weird. That is, there was an odd mood emanating from the filming location, and even the newly enacted 52-hour work standard law struck him as strange.
“I was very nervous from the first filming, and I was worried because I was shy, but I tried to approach the actors and staff first, and I gradually relaxed and enjoyed the scene.”
On Portraying Ahn Yu-jun
Lee Won-geun, who portrayed Prosecutor Ahn Yu-jun, spoke about his experience at the beginning of the drama’s filming.
“I was in a situation where I started filming after seeing it, but I knew to a certain extent the setting of a younger man, but after realizing that the flow of emotions continued to the confession, I wanted to get to know Honey Lee quickly, and the senior accepted it well, so it ended safely.”
Adding to what he said, the actor discussed the synchro rate between his role and the real Lee Won Geun.
“I don’t think it can be said that the synchro rate between the characters in the play and the real Lee Won-geun is very high. In fact, I have had a lot of experience with unrequited love since I was a child, but I am a style without the courage to give up rather than just love the person from afar.”
Regarding the fact that Lee Won Geun left another masterpiece in his life by finishing the drama with a high viewer rating from beginning to end, he subsequently clarified that both actors and staff work extremely hard on any drama set.
“It hurts to measure their hard work by a simple number called the ratings, but I am just grateful that so many people love them. In particular, I want to say thank you once again to Honey Lee, who did a great job.”
Correspondingly, Lee highlighted the foundations for his growth as an actor, in which he distinguished that after his discharge, he become more grateful and aims to work harder.
On His Driving Force As An Actor
Making his family the main reason for all he does in life, the actor describes what it’s like to live with the mindset of performing work for his family.
“My goals as an actor are my parents and my family. It is the reason I live my life as an actor, and it is the driving force that makes me re-establish my mindset as an actor. I want to work for my family and furthermore, I want to work hard for my fans and become a sincere actor.”
Moreover, Lee, who will soon be 30, marks his decade-long career in the industry. He imparts that he wants to be an actor who gives good energy to those around him.
“I’ve been saying it since high school, but I’m only now realizing that time is slow, but life is fast. I want to be an actor who gives good energy to those around him, and I want to greet them with work that can show new challenges and appearances. Above all, I will try my best to grow into a grounded actor.”
