In the series, Lee Joon Gi played dual roles as the reincarnated mythical figure ‘Eun-seom’ and Asdal’s commander ‘Saya,’ captivating viewers with his immersive performance. His agile action sequences, often dubbed as that of an “action master,” skillfully conveyed a wide range of emotions within each action frame, adding an intense level of engrossment to the drama.
Moreover, he flexibly portrayed the deep narrative and intricate relationships between the twin brothers.
Particularly, he seamlessly assimilated with both characters and delivered a passionate performance, proving his wide spectrum of acting abilities beyond genres and establishing himself as a genre expert.
Conveying heartfelt thoughts about the ending of Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun, Lee Joon Gi left a bittersweet farewell message through his agency, Namoo Actors.
“I really didn’t think this day would come, but it has been more than nine months already. I’m feeling more regretful than satisfied. Rather than feeling cool, I feel sad because we created a lot of memories while sharing laughter and tears with many staff members during this production.”
He also raises expectations for his future endeavors and messages of support for co-stars.
“I will continue to support and anticipate their wonderful new stages as they all did their best in their respective roles. I will start a new journey and greet you all in a more splendid way.”
In the meantime, after successfully concluding a fan meeting in Japan in May, Lee Joon Gi plans to meet his fans once again in Yokohama, Japan, for a fan meeting in December, creating joyful memories.
