KBS 2TV continues its winning streak with historical romance series by tapping talented young actors Park Eun Bin and Kim Rowoon.
Directed by Song Hyun Wook and penned by Han Hee Jung, 연모 Yeonmo The King’s Affection (ET) is backed up by production companies Story Hunter and Monster Union. Based on manhwa of the same title, it was created by cartoonist Lee So Young.
Director Song is famous for dramas Another Miss Oh, The Beauty Inside and Undercover to name a few. Writer Han wrote Clean With Passion For Now.
The King’s Affection depicts the story of a princess who assumes her twin brother’s identity when he died.
Park Eun Bin portrays the role of Lee Hwi, the crown prince who carries a secret. He is a perfect prince with a beautiful appearance, dignified demeanor and unparalleled literary skills.
However, court ladies can’t dream a future with him because he does not allow them to get closer obviously because of the secret that she is the twin sister who lives the life of his deceased brother and is a fake prince.
Suiting up to the role of Lee Hwi’s teacher Jung Ji-woon is actor and SF9 member Kim Rowoon. Handsome, tenacious and gutsy; he is an optimist who enjoys life leisurely.
Both actors have scored well-regarded dramas recently. Park Eun Bin starred in Do You Like Brahms and Stove League last year. Meanwhile, Rowoon carries on his lead man streak after Extraordinary You and She Would Never Know.
Filming is underway for Affection and is set to premiere on October 11.
