Red Velvet’s Joy To Make Her Drama Comeback In “Only One Person”

SM Entertainment’s Park Soo Young, also known as Joy of Red Velvet, secured the lead role in JTBC’s “Only One Person” to be aired in the second half of the year.

After three years, Park Soo Young’s magnificent acting skills will be seen again as Seong Mi-do in the upcoming romantic melodrama. 

Directed by Oh Hyun Jong and written by Moon Jung Min, the drama’s plot centers on Seong Mi-do (Park Soo-Young), who is a famous influencer that doesn’t have much time left in her life.

After diagnosed as terminally ill, she almost forgets how to manage her emotions well. 

Since she is dying anyway, she decided to kill one bad guy, but instead, she met one person who became significant to her.

Nearing her death, the character of Seong Mi-do will radiate many different emotions and experiences that will make her audience realize how precious our life is. 

The drama will also depict how a single person can change our lives forever. 


Park Soo Young as a Remarkable Artist

Many viewers know Park Soo-Young as a member of the famous Korean pop group “Red Velvet.” 

However, in 2015 she caught the eyes of many after joining the show We Got Married, and was paired with BTOB’s Yook Seung Jae. 

Finally, in 2017, she made her acting debut in tvN’s The Liar and His Lover.

Added to this in 2018, she got the lead role in MBC’s The Great Seducer,   and is nominated in various awards like Best Actress, Rookie of the Year and Popularity Award. 

In the spectrum of music, the artist released her special album Hello last May 31st.

The outcome of her project became successful because she reached the number one spot in the music chart and on iTunes’ top album chart extending on the 26 regions worldwide.

For her newest venture, she will be teaming up with Park Sung Hoon, and Ahn Eun Jin.

Only One Person aims to leave important life advice to its’ viewers.
