Hwang Min Hyun successfully held his first solo mini-concert, “UNVEIL” last weekend, October 8, at New Frontier Theater.
Presented by Pulp Live World, the show was filled with unforgettable performances for PH Hwangdos.
Before becoming one of the popular actors in his generation, Hwang Min Hyun was a former member of NU’EST and WANNA ONE. He has been on the local stage twice. In 2018 with Wanna One and with NU’EST in 2019. This time, he came back for his first solo mini-concert.
He started off his concert by singing his first solo title track “Hidden Side”, followed by “Honest” and then “Earphone”, his solo track from NU’EST second album, Romanticize.
He also danced to EXO Baekhyun’s “Betcha” and New Jeans’ “Super Shy” as punishment in the first segment of his show “Timing Game”. He was asked to remember some lines from his previous dramas or music videos. But he got two questions wrong. He said that his memory was not as great as he thought it would be. His punishment turned out as a treat to his fans who were delighted to see him dancing.
In the second segment of his mini-concert, Hwang Min Hyun transformed into a radio DJ when he read a fan mail from someone named Yul, seeking love advice. Minhyun tried to fully understand the letter before giving advice.
He tried to think like it was really his problem so he could carefully relate before sharing his thoughts. It was a sight to see him getting serious before sharing what he thinks is a good thing to do.
In this segment, Minhyun was able to continue showcasing his golden voice by singing some parts of the songs, “Back in Time”, “The Snowman”, “Crazy” and “White Night”.
As the mini concert continues, Hwang Min Hyun performed tracks from his solo album such as “Perfect Type”, “Cube”, “Crossword” and “Smile”.
He also performed OST from his previous drama, ‘Alchemy of Souls’ the songs “So Beautiful” and “Tree”.
The audience went wild when he sang “Universe”. It was one of the highlights of the nights. It was surely the crowd’s favorite. His performance once again showed his beautiful voice and dancing skills.
Before the night ended, Hwangdos from all over the Philippines surprised him with warm messages. The video showed his humble beginnings and journey to fame. Hwang Min Hyun holds back his tears as he watches the video. He repeatedly thanked his fans for loving and supporting him.
“It was a very long time since I was able to return here in Manila and I’m very happy that I was able to reunite once again with my Hwangdos.”
He also shared that he will be working on a new drama when he comes back to South Korea and he promised to give his all for his Hwangdos.
