After gaining recognition for the heartwarming series, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, ENA unveils the drama lineup for the second half of 2022.
Headed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yoon Young Pil, ENA, the main channel of Sky Tv, has been continuously operating since 2004.
Right after rebranding in April, the company released dramas No Need for Salvation and now Extraordinary Attorney Woo. The series has since become a sleeper hit that set a high online buzz popularity and viewership rankings in local and foreign countries.
ENA’s accomplishments
Following the 7th and 8th episodes of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, the series broke its record. Its ratings escalated to 13.1% nationwide, and 15.0% in the metropolitan area. The comforting drama maintains its top spot on Wednesday and Thursday dramas.
The online buzz is also setting a new record for each episode, with an overwhelming 59.16% market share based on Good Data Corporation during the second week of July. The series also ranked as the number 1 program Koreans like in Korea Gallup’s Most Favorite Program These Days survey, nationwide from July 19 to 21.
ENA achieves its highest rating for the first time in its history. Because of this, viewers’ interest in the upcoming dramas this 2022 continues to increase.
ENA’s Drama Roster For The 2nd Half of 2022
With plans to further strengthen the brand value of ENA, the channel will focus on a wider genre variation for the second half of this year, as they focused on family and healing for the first half.
Good Job
- Starring: Jung Il Woo and Girls Generation’s Kwon Yu Ri
The investigative and romance drama Good Job follows the story of characters who have special abilities. It is a heroic drama played by the chaebol Eun Sun-woo, who runs a detective agency. Together with him is the job seeker Don Se-ra, who has a super-vision ability.
Fans’ expectations rise for the two lead actors working on the upcoming drama.
Love That Will Freeze To Death
- Starring: Super Junior’s Choi Si Won and Lee Da Hee
This series depicts the sweet and salty reality romance of lead characters in their 30s. It is a project of the director Choi Kyu Sik, who worked on the dramas Rude Miss Young-ae, Let’s Eat, and Drinking Solo.
Lee Da Hee once showcased her outstanding acting skills in Search WWW. On the other hand, Choi Si Won, who played in Work Later, Drink Now, also makes viewers anticipate the new drama.
Unlock The Boss
- Starring Chae Jong Hyeop, Seo Eun Soo, and Park Sung Woong
Unlock The Boss, based on a popular webtoon serialized on Naver, is a series about a president who suddenly gets trapped in a smartphone and a man who digs up the truth after he picks up the mysterious phone.
Kim Hyung Min, co-writer of the Netflix drama Sweet Home, and director Lee Chul Ha, who worked on the movie Okay Madam, collaborated for this series.
New Recruit
- Starring Kim Min Ho, Nam Tae Woo, Jeon Seung Hun, Lee Sang Jin, Lee Jung Hyun, and Lee Choong Goo
The comedic drama New Recruit tells the story of a newly recruited soldier and his daily military life. This short series premiered and completed its broadcast on July 23.
To solidify the channel’s growth, Oh Kwang Hoon, the head of ENA Channel’s content business division said,
“We will produce various dramas and entertainments to proceed aggressively.”
