Decked for March premiere, A Superior Day excites anticipating fans with script-reading event teasers.
Derived from a popular webtoon of the same name by Aruani, the series realizes the idea of “only the strong survive”. It is a 24-hour thriller in which the most ordinary man must kill the serial killer who lives next door to save his kidnapped daughter.
Jin Goo takes on the role of a firefighter who has to rescue his kidnapped daughter. Ha Do Kwon suits up as a contract killer who pursues a serial killer. Rounding up the lead cast is Lee Won Geun who portrays a serial killer who believes he is superior to anyone else in the world.
Accordingly, the original series has been in the pipeline of OCN for a long while. It is also the third webtoon-based series following Strangers from Hell and The Uncanny Counter.
Director Cho Nam Hyung, who won five international film festivals through 2021 tvN drama stage Agent, will direct the series. Penning the script is writer Lee Ji Hyun.
At the script-reading event, the lead cast immersed themselves in their roles vividly. The production team has only warm words to the actors.
