KBS2’s new midweek drama is keen to provide addicting chemistry between the lead stars.
Most of the time, it’s not as sweet as candy though owing to the contrasting characters to be portrayed by Doh Kyung Soo and Lee Se Hee.
Bad Prosecutor narrates the story of a prosecutor that lives with insolence and imperfections while destroying the greedy people’s sanctuary of wealth and power.
The drama is a collaboration of director Kim Sung Ho, who is known for his emotional direction in Move to Heaven, and writer Im Young Bin from Sketch.
Rounding up the main cast are Lee Se Hee, Ha Joon, Joo Bo Young, Lee Si Eon, Kim Sang Ho, Yun Joon Suk, Kim Chang Wan, Kim Tae Woo, and Choi Kwang Il.
Doh Kyung Soo transforms into Jin Jung, a true detective of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. He takes on an unusual character in the history of prosecution. Rather than political law, his character chooses trickery and expediency to punish the corrupt.
Lee Se Hee takes on the role of Shin A-ra, a senior prosecutor in the 3rd division of the Central District Prosecutors’ Office. She is expected to show off her charisma. A hint of bickering is also on the horizon With Jin Jung. She wonders how someone like him became a prosecutor.
In the newly unveiled teasers, the two are obviously not in the most harmonious state.
Sparks, not romantic ones, fly whenever they work on a case. The images totally capture the tense encounters that hopefully would blossom into something unexpectedly sweet.
While preparing for filming and rehearsing, the two tried various poses and gestures suitable for the scenes and constantly exchanged opinions, showing their passion for the project. They also burst into laughter when they become too immersed in their ad-libs.
The production team confidently affirms the lead stars are going to color the story vividly with their passion.
Bad Prosecutor premieres on October 5 on KBS2 and Wavve!
