Agents at a talent management firm tackle strong personalities and office politics while keeping their celebrity clients happy and helping them shine in Behind Every Star.
Scheduled to launch on November 7, the new tvN series also streams on Netflix. The new workplace drama chronicles the office adventures of four celebrity managers of an entertainment company.
Behind Every Star is based on a popular French drama of the same name. Helming the project is director Baek Seung-ryong (SNL Korea) with writer Park So-young (Summer Strike) penning the script.
In the drama, Lee Seo Jin (Times), Kwak Sun Young (Hospital Playlist 2), Seo Hyun Woo (Flower of Evil) and Joo Hyun Young (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) work as professional managers of the top celebrities in Korea at Method Entertainment.
To create a star, countless people work together. Among them, the manager provides 24/7 support for the celebrity he or she handles. So far, the rolled-out preview of the series showed the lead stars confronting seemingly endless struggles that come with their jobs.
The production team invites viewers to anticipate the series.
“The world of the hyperreal manager workplace that has never been seen before will unfold on tvN in November. The struggles of managers to make the best stars, the back stories of the entertainment industry we were curious about and didn’t know, and even the special appearances of real celebrities will be featured in the series.”
Behind Every Star premieres on November 7. International fans can watch it on Netflix.
