Cafe Minamdang’s female lead, Oh Yeon Seo, expresses her excitement as she finds aptitude in her new role.
Taking acting transformation to the next level, she adds beauty and grace to the mystery and action drama, Cafe Minamdang. Portraying an enthusiastic detective named Han Jae Hee, her life intertwines with a former criminal profiler, Nam Han Joon (Seo In Guk).

He runs a fortune teller business called Minamdang and scams customers through his visuals and talking skills. Even though he scams people for money, Han Joon still helps his customers’ problems and solves them.
Furthermore, Oh Yeon Seo shares her gratitude for playing a detective character and shooting action scenes.
“The material itself was very interesting, and the charm of Nam Han Joon, who is a profiler but pretends to be a shaman, and the character of Han Jae Hee, who never stops for justice, came fresh. I’ve never played a detective character before, but I’m taking this opportunity to challenge myself, so I’m excited and having fun shooting.”
Describing more about her role, she describes Han Jae Hee as a mysterious, honest, cool, and confident character. With that, the actress reveals that she needs to be able to capture a “cool, chic, and action-angle” appearance of Jae-hee on the screen.
Considering that she takes on a challenging role for the first time, she uncovers the preparations she did.
“I looked for a lot of videos of actual detectives and asked for a lot of advice from Jung Man-Sik. The action scenes were surprisingly fun. I think I’ve found my aptitude.”
Finally, she describes Cafe Minamdang as a ‘surprise box’ drama, stating;
“Like a surprise box that you don’t know what’s in it when you open Cafe Minamdang. It’s full of stories such as people’s lives and comic stories. The story itself is a fresh material that I’ve never seen before, and the production is different, so I’m confident that it’ll be very exciting.”
