Check Out The Event gears up for a summer love story to remember!
MBC’s new special drama Check Out The Event will be airing this August 14. Bang Min-Ah and Kwon Hwa Woon will be playing as the two main protagonists in this summer love story set on the beautiful Jeju Island.
Check Out The Event follows the story of two separated lovers Song Yi and Do Kyum, they won a couple’s trip to Jeju Island in an event. Now they have to pretend to be together again. It is a romantic melodrama that will give us emotions and a realistic approach towards love and relationship.
It is also a unique setting for a romance drama since it started at the end of the relationship of the two characters rather than the usual flirtation or starts of a budding romance that we see in most romantic stories. Furthermore, it features the beautiful Jeju Island and gives the summer feels since the summer in Korea is starting.
The main poster of this series is also released. It shows Bang Min Ah and Kwon Hwa-Woon holding hands with each other with the beautiful blue sea of Jeju Island as their backdrop.
In particular, Check Out The Event chose an unusual arrangement that aired once a week on Saturday night. In addition, the production team explained that they aim to travel together with the viewers every Saturday night for weeks.
“The love story of Do Kyum and Song Yi will provide a realistic empathy as well as excitement for many viewers. Bang Min Ah and Kwon Hwa Woon will show us their good chemistry while featuring the beautiful story and scenery of Jeju Island.”
Check Out The Event will be airing its first episode on August 14.
