Bang Minah and Kwon Hwa Woon fill the script reading site of Check Out The Event with chemistry and energy.
Set for its first broadcast in August, Check Out The Event releases new stills from its first script reading site that is full of energy and exuding chemistry. The series has already garnered attention as it is a winning piece from the MBC Drama Script Contest, which has also produced creative works like Kkondae Intern, Chip In, and Here’s My Plan.
Check Out The Event is a melodrama that tells the story of the separated couple Ha Song-yi (Bang Minah) and Park Do-gyeom (Kwon Hwa Woon) who win a “couple trip” event. The couple who has already broken up pretends that they are still together and participate in the couple trip event in Jeju Island with other couples.
Bang Minah plays the role of Ha Song-yi, who is a botanical garden coordinator. Immersing herself quickly into the character, Bang Minah was able to emit Song-yi’s bright and lovely charm.
Together with Kwon Hwa Woon portraying Park Do-gyeom, Ha Song-yi’s ex-boyfriend, a romantic chemistry is built in the script reading site. Kwon has shown impressive performance with his character Do-gyeom given his past experience in acting from various genres.
Joining the cast, Ahn Woo-yeon will play the role of Seo Ji-kang, a travel guide who will create a subtle love triangle in the plot.
Lee Jin-hyuk, Nam Kyu-hee, Kim Young-sun, and Kim Hee-chang are also part of the cast as the other travel mates who will join in the couples’ trip to Jeju Island. Their immersion into their characters’ roles captivates the attention of viewers as it highlights the cast’s wonderful acting skills.
The production team of Check Out The Event decorated the script reading site with props that reminisced Jeju Island as a surprise event for the actors and the main staff. Through the surprise event, the atmosphere of the reading site was full of enthusiasm, creating a room filled with laughter and friendliness.
Check Out The Event is set to premiere in August.
