Cleaning Up will be launching on K-PLUS this month. The 16-episode crime comedy will rivetingly spice up the month of June with its quirky yet enigmatic way of unlocking wealth secrets with cleaning skills.
Cleaning Up is a star-studded drama, starring Yum Jung Ah, Jeon So Min and Kim Jae Hwa. It premieres on 5 Jun 2022, every Sunday & Monday, 9.15 pm (GMT+8) express from Korea. With encore run on Thursday and Friday at 5.30 pm SGT.
The drama is a remake of British television series of the same name. It tells the story of three female cleaners at a securities firm that mysteriously dives into the world of stocks after accidentally overhearing insider information while working there.

As cleaners at a security firm, they have access to all the places in the building, and the employees who treat them like invisible are sure to leak top-secret information accidentally in front of them.
They sweep the floors hard to make a living and fulfil their own dreams, until one day, they come across lucrative information that would shake their lives and start living very different lives.
When opportunity arises in the form of insider trade, the ladies began to start their rebellion. Cleaning Up gears a lot of expectations especially it revolves around the three main characters facing different lives but in a snap of fingers, lucrative life awaits them.
Yum Jung Ah as Eo Yong-mi
The head of the house, Yong-mi is in her 40’s. She was such a beauty that gets attention wherever she goes. But the beauty which carried her through when she was young can no longer be relied on.
She now struggles to provide for her two daughters. Because as a cleaner, she is so invisible that she may as well not exist to those around her. But because of these things, it made her do quirky stuff to splash off her invisibility.
Even though she only drinks instant coffee, she has to have it in a Starbucks takeout recycling cup. Likewise, even though she feeds her children with expiring food from the convenience store where she works, she has to plate it on the posh plates she splashed out on before her divorce.
She is a cleaner who dignified the boring life of a scavenger by tailoring clothes that have been thrown away by others to her own personal color scheme and showing off her innate sense of fashion.
Jeon So Min as Ahn In-kyung
In-kyung is in her early 30s. She was given the nickname Sharon Stone. She wasn’t embarrassed by it at first because she had attracted attention from a young age for her slender limbs and stylish, sexy looks, but one day she found out the truth. Although her face was Sharon, it was her head that earned her the name Stone. Her naïve expression and her doormat nature create a synergy that makes her look silly.
She is happy just getting what she wants through her efforts. As she grew up seeing her mother suffered due to her opportunistic get rich quick father, it’s a case of once bitten twice shy. She becomes timid and has a nervous reaction to many things in her life.
She dreams of a life where travel and daily life are one and the same. tries to save up for her dream of opening a cafe with a food truck.
Kim Jae Hwa as Maeng Soo-ja
Soo-ja, on the other hand is in her early 50s, and like the other two she is also set as a contract Cleaner. She is suspicious by nature, hates people and therefore doesn’t let people in easily. But to outsiders, she is a kind and friendly person.
If she decides to get closer with a total stranger, she will be close enough to get the clothes off within 5 minutes. Nonetheless, her affinity for others is quite strategic and selective. She can smile brightly and greet you nicely and immediately turn around and disparage you with a sneer.
She has a thousand faces and ten thousand treacherous schemes, which act as a competitive advantage in her life. It became her top survival skills.
