Season 2 of Crash is officially on the way, ready to hit the road again in hot pursuit of villains.
Global content studio Astory confirmed the production of the second season of Crash, the drama that first premiered on May 13th and broke new ground as Korea’s first series centered on traffic crime investigations.
Directed by Park Joon-woo and written by Oh Soo-jin, the show follows the Traffic Crime Investigation Team (TCI) as they relentlessly chase down criminals on the road.
Crash quickly became a word-of-mouth sensation, praised for its innovative storyline, compelling characters, and gripping plot twists. The show’s popularity soared, breaking its own viewership records with each episode and achieving the second-highest ratings (6.6%) in ENA’s history.
Fans were particularly thrilled by the show’s realistic car chases and the fresh take on crime drama that didn’t rely on the typical romance angle, instead delivering a high-octane mix of action and suspense. Writer Oh Soo-jin teased that Season 2 will delve deeper into the chemistry between the TCI team members and explore new stories at Namgang Police Station. She also hinted at a broader range of traffic crime cases to keep fans on the edge of their seats. Director Park Joon-woo, who returns to collaborate with Oh, expressed his gratitude for the viewers’ support, promising more diverse episodes and even more intense car action.
Astory shared that with the TCI team now part of the National Investigation Headquarters, Season 2 will feature bigger, bolder cases, more dynamic storylines, and even more thrilling car sequences. They’re confident that the next season will capture viewers’ attention all over again.
