“Curtain Call” Displays Uniquely Genuine Connection Between Ha Ji Won and Kang Ha Neul

The couple poster of KBS2’s newest K-Drama lead pair evokes a sincere connection!

It also slates the premiere on October 31 following the Monday-Tuesday slot to be vacated by The Law Cafe.

Curtain Call tells the story of people who conspire to make the wishes of a dying grandmother come true. Rounding up the lead cast are Ha Ji Won, Kang Ha Neul and Kwon Sang Woo.

At the helm of the production is director Yoon Sang Ho whose last works include River Where The Moon Rises, King Maker: The Change of Destiny and Different Dreams. Penning the script is Writer Jo Sung-geol who wrote Midnight Runners.

Kang Ha Neul plays Yoo Jae-heon, an unpopular theater actor. He is self-reliant and optimistic. Wanting to grow into an actor who can play a variety of roles, he diligently does what he needs to for it.

In the drama, Ha Ji Won takes on the role of Park Se-yeon, the youngest daughter and general manager of Hotel Paradise. She is a talented leader who has been building up her skills and experience step by step by jumping into the hotel frontier part-time since her college days.

Correspondingly, the unveiled poster shows Ha Ji Won and Kang Ha Neul standing side by side in the background of a blue sky. Embodying their characters, they beam brightly.

Although they are not staring at each other, their pure smiles raise curiosity about the kind of relationship they will engage in.

On the poster, it says “on a big beautiful stage that is life-changing” – it hints at the chemistry that is not limited to a simple romance, but a deeper one.

Victory Content, the production company expounds on the depth of the connection that will unfold in the story.

“The two fatedly met. They feel good with each other, but they feel a big emotional gap in some situations. If you watch how their feelings will be resolved, you will be able to feel the exciting beauty of their story.”

Two Roles For The Lead Pair

K-Drama fans are also expected to see the lead pair in two roles and in different time settings – the 1950s and 2020s.

Ha Ji Won suits up to young Geum-soon, the grandmother who was granted a wish in the 1950s. She also plays Geum-soon’s granddaughter Se-yeon in the present timeline, the general manager of Hotel Paradise.

Meanwhile, Kang Ha Neul will be North Korean soldier Jong-moon in the 1950s and optimistic unknown theater actor Jae-heon in the 2020s.
