Vaunting a commanding appeal, So Ji Sub makes his small-screen return in Doctor Lawyer.
Slated for May 27 premiere, the series is one of the most anticipated Korean dramas this year. Combining the charm of medical and legal drama, it also features a talented cast.
Doctor Lawyer tells the story of an elite surgeon who specializes in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, Han Yi Han. His life then transformed as a surgery he conducted and is confident to be successful, unexpectedly fails.
As Yi-han’s medical license lifts, he returns four years later as a lawyer, specializing in medical litigation. While defending victims from medical malpractice and negligence, he is also on a mission to unveil the secrets behind the death of his last patient.
Following the rollout of table-read photos, Doctor Lawyer also dropped a teaser video. In the preview of the series, So Ji Sub makes an overwhelming presence that easily steals anyone’s attention.
Through the quick narration: “The courtroom is like an operating room. Because the rest of your life may end or start anew – it strongly imparts the riveting narrative to be expected in the series.
On the screen, So Ji Sub dons a black suit and walks into a courtroom. Images of him as a surgeon intersperse as he raises a scalpel piercing it directly into the “code of law”.
In just 15 seconds, the charismatic actor expressively presented what would be in store for his latest character and drama.
Meanwhile, MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama Doctor Lawyer premieres on May 27th at 9:50 PM on MBC!
