Together in the latest released stills, Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan pose as comrades in arms!
Upcoming Netflix series D.P. starring Jung Hae In and Koo Kyo Hwan has unveiled new still cuts. D.P. narrates the story of Joon-ho and Ho-yeol, who are both assigned to the Deserter Pursuit unit. Together, they catch and chase deserters who each have stories to tell, which opens their eyes to a reality they weren’t aware of.
Functions of the Deserter Pursuit unit, which are somewhat unfamiliar to many, are given light through the newly released stills of the series. Details about military life are given more focus, helping the viewers get a grasp on how they lead their life in the unit.
D.P.’s Delightful Duo
Second Class Joon-ho (Jung Hae In), gets recruited as a DP to catch deserters and teams up with witty and skillful Corporal Ho-yeol (Koo Kyo Hwan). Together, they begin their activities as part of the unit, bringing back the deserters safely.
Unlike other military personnel, the DP unit is allowed to wear plain clothes and grow their hair out in order to protect their military identity used in catching deserters. As these deserters have escaped the military and have hidden in various parts of society, such measures of disguise are necessary. Although allowed to wear casual clothing, they are still considered soldiers who also cannot escape military life.
For a short while, the appointment in the DP unit was avoided as the missions of the breakaway arrest group were expected to be more difficult than expected. Joon-ho and Ho-yeol follow the clues left by the deserters even though they feel they are heading to the ground without clear clues.
They devote themselves to their chase of deserters and initiate investigations based on their intuition similar to a detective. The stories of each deserter they meet bring the two an unexpected change and open them to a new perspective about military life.
Furthermore, Sergeant Park Beom-goo (Kim Sung Kyun) and Captain Im Ji-seob (Son Seok Koo) are also seen in the newly released stills. Ji-seob is a character who is ready to do anything for his success and promotion in the military.
Joon-ho and Ho-yeol may have opposing personalities, but they are united in comradeship. Meanwhile, Sergeant Park Beom-goo and Captain Im Ji-seob are at the heart of the DP unit. Together, their experiences in catching soldiers and the individual stories of the deserters they will meet continue to raise anticipations from viewers.
D.P. is set to premiere on August 27, available only on Netflix.
