“Stealer: The Treasure Keeper” Lead Star Joo Won Vouches For An Exciting and Fun Drama That Anyone Can Watch

Promising an enthralling adventure, Stealer: The Treasure Keeper aims a gift-set experience for K-Drama fans!

Stealer The Treasure Keeper is a caper comic action series in which a mysterious cultural property thief and an unofficial cultural property recovery team unite against people who cannot be judged by the law.

Joo Won takes on the role of Hwang Dae-myung, a civil servant who goes to work at the Cultural Heritage Administration during the day, but at night, he transforms into a mysterious thief who steals cultural assets by visiting the trafficking site of cultural assets.

Joining the actor in the lead cast is Lee Joo Woo who plays the role of Choi Min-woo, an elite police officer full of passion and justice.

Pouring interesting teasers, the series unravels additional posters detailing charming points to anticipate in the drama and its characters.

First, the main poster features unmasked Hwang Dae-myung, a “salary lupin”. He is someone who gets a monthly salary without working properly. His other life is as a cultural property thief goes by the name of Skunk.

Previously, a glimpse of his office life was seen in a teaser video. He sleeps peacefully during office hours wearing funny eyeglasses because of his energy-consuming night activities as Skunk.

Subsequently, another teaser video shows him asserting his skills as Skunk. Neither tight guard security nor large numbers of people are a problem for him as he wipes out the villains in a flash. Team Karma is also seen in action.

Presenting a bigger picture from the initial main poster, a group poster reveals the full picture of Skunk stepping into someone’s secret space. Team Karma is captured in the scene with him.

Salary Lupin Meets Unique K-Hero

Portraying two challenging roles, Joo Won shared more details about his latest drama. He reveals the reason why he decided to appear in the series.

First of all, the character itself is so fun and I was able to play two attractive characters, Hwang Dae-myung and Skunk, so I chose it. And while it is a meaningful work, is it also good that it was expressed in a fun way.

It is not easy to play a 180-degree different character as Hwang Dae-myung, a civil servant of the Cultural Heritage Administration during the day, and Skunk – a cultural property thief, at night. The actor relays his creative process with the characters.

I worked on acting without losing one common denominator while dealing with characters who are opposite in tone and personality. That is having sincerity. You can look forward to my comic acting in this work. Although it deals with the heavy subject of returning cultural assets, I think it is a drama that is not difficult and can be enjoyed by anyone. I hope viewers can watch it comfortably.

Stealer The Treasure Keeper will be broadcast for the first time on April 12 on tvN!
