A preview of Fantasy Sonata‘s female protagonist is unveiled showing off her charm and back story.
Based on a webtoon of the same name, Fantasy Sonata blends fantasy, history, drama and romance as it traverses the story of a man with two conflicting personalities and the woman who loves him in a refreshing affection and fierce obsession.
In Fantasy Sonata, Yeonwol (Hong Ye Ji) hides her identity and becomes an assassin to avenge her family. While trying to assassinate the king, she falls into a trap set by someone and wakes up the next day with no memory of her life. Thereafter, she is appointed as the crown prince’s concubine.
The crown prince, who has two completely opposite personalities, deals with her, revealing his different ways of anger and love towards her.
Fantasy Sonata foreshadows the turbulent and heartbreaking story of a prince with two personalities and a concubine who is faced with an inevitable choice.

In her stills released on November 22, Hong Ye Ji captures attention by expressing the various aspects of her character with just her visuals. As the royal descendant of a fallen dynasty, she captures diverse charms, from the assassin who sees her chance for revenge to a concubine who is thrown in front of her dangerous love.
Hong Ye Ji plays Yeon Wol, Yeon Pung-hak’s only daughter. After Yeonwol lost her family, she lived as Gye-ra, a member of the assassin group Wind Sword. One day, without her knowledge, she became the crown prince’s concubine, leaving her perplexed.
Hong Ye-ji’s passionate performance, which portrays her strong yet pure, honest yet affectionate personality, in her own unique colors, raises expectations.
Also, the part that makes one wonder how Yeonwol, who suffered the pain of her extinction, will resolve her complicated and tangled relationship with the crown prince.
The prince, who falls in love with Yeonwol as if by a twist of fate, has two personalities in his body. Attention is also focused on the fresh chemistry between Park Ji-hoon, who plays the intelligent Sajo Hyun and the decadent Ak-hee.
