Known for her impressive performance in the popular drama W, Han Hyo Joo freshly returns in an action thriller drama Happiness.
Directed by Ahn Gil Ho and written by Han Sang Woon, Happiness features a plot wherein an infectious disease becomes normal for everyone.
In the drama, there is a newly built apartment in a large city wherein higher floors are occupied by general sales, meanwhile, the lower floors are rented out.
Since the timeline of the drama was set during a time that there is an infectious disease, psychological battle and societal class dilemmas are depicted.
Han Hyo Joo as a Tactical Agent
Set in an apocalyptic time, Han Hyo Joo plays the role of Yoon Sae-Bom, a tactical agent at the Special Forces Command who handles counterterrorism and is in charge of training students. She is also known as a “tiger instructor” because she pushes her trainees to be better.
Transforming into a new role, Sae-bom’s character is known for being decisive and easily put judgments. Moreover, when she wants to attain something, she makes sure to act to it as soon as possible.
In the photos, Sae-bom fiercely holds a gun while wearing an all-black suit that shows how strong her character is.
“”The script was very interesting, and I was able to immerse myself more because the character Yoon Sae-bom resembled me. I put what I thought into action right away, and sometimes my actions took precedence over my thoughts, but that kind of personality made me feel rather refreshed. Often, there are times when I really feel satisfaction while acting,”said Han in an interview.
Since there are many similarities between Hyo Joo and Sae-bom’s characters, she assures that the result of this can would be seen in her acting.
Rounding up the main leads are Park Hyung Sik and Jo Woo Jin who would join the actress to create a new synergy in this thriller drama.
Meanwhile, Happiness would release its first episode on November 5, 10:40 pm on tvN and TVING.
