Teaser posters announced the premiere of Hi Cookie on October 23!

To be released on U+ Mobile TV in the second half of this year, Hi Cookie is a new web series planned by STUDIO X+U and co-produced by Monster Union and STUDIO X+U Script.

Hi Cookie tells the story of a homemade cookie that makes dreams come true with just one bite but then it overwhelmed students of an elite high school.

Nam Ji Hyun plays the role of Choi Soo-young, a girl who jumps in to save her younger sister from trouble. Next, Choi Hyun Wook plays the role of Seo Ho-su, a poor boy who maintains top grades at an elite high school. Kim Mu Yeol plays the mysterious role of Yoo Seong-pil, the best college entrance exam consultant in the underworld. Lastly, Jung Da Bin gave a passionate performance as Choi Min-young, a girl who becomes deeply entangled with Cookie and falls into a swamp.

Director Song Min-yeop of Youth of May fame is in charge of the production with a rookie writer penning the script. Notably, the series attracts attention for its aim to release an advanced K-school series with unique materials and unpredictable stories.

The first teaser poster highlights cookies surrounded by name tags. It stimulates curiosity about how this harmlessly smiling little cookie will shake up people’s lives, and at the same time, it raises curiosity about who the various names scattered around belong to.

Subsequently, the “sisters’ poster”, highlighting Nam Ji Hyun and Jung Da Bin lean on each other, but each looks in a different direction and maintains a strange sense of distance.

Soo-young and Min-young are sisters who care for each other but hold a secret grudge. The text on the poster says: “You don’t know anything, what my dream is,” represents the sisters’ different dreams and raises expectations for the story the two will show in the future.

Accordingly, in the character stills of Soo-young, Nam Ji Hyun captures her life as the head of the family. Even after taking off his work clothes, his face is still full of sadness. In the scene where he is standing in the hospital with a dejected expression and the image of him sitting crouched in thought, you can feel the burden and worries that Sooyoung carries, stimulating curiosity about what kind of life she has lived.

Meanwhile, Min-young wearing a mask and turning her back on her classmates, shows loneliness on his face. Next, the eerie gaze glaring at someone with wide eyes suggests that something serious has happened. Also, even when hiding and eavesdropping on someone or talking in the consulting room, Min-young still wears a large mask. This raises curiosity about the face hidden behind the mask and at the same time piques interest in her story.

LG U+’s first original drama Hi Cookie will be released for the first time through U+ Mobile TV on October 23.
