Hong Su Zu, who appeared in Sweet Home Season 2 and Lovestruck in the City, takes on the role of Na Hye-won and works with Lee Jae Wook and Lee Jun Young.
Na Hye-won is an independent character with both intelligence and beauty. Suffering from extreme poverty since childhood due to her mother’s debts, she approaches Han Tae-oh (Lee Jae Wook) and Kang In-ha (Lee Jun Young) to escape from her difficult life and devises a plan to take the highest throne in Korea.
Hong Su Zu perfectly portrays Na Hye-won, a strong character with a strong inner self and confident personality who is unwavering even in the face of hellish reality.
Describing her character, the actress shares details and preparations she made.
“She has a very smart personality. Although she grew up in a difficult and dark environment, she is a strong character who did not lose confidence and self-esteem. I paid attention to not only vocalization but also external styling to more clearly express a character with various psychological changes. It will be more interesting to see Hye-won’s surroundings and emotions along with her changing style.“
Director Min Yeon-hong, who was in charge of directing, also shares his thoughts about Hong’s character.
