Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri Exude Bright and Beautiful Vibe In “Twenty Five Twenty One” Posters

tvN’s new weekend drama promises to chase dreams and romance when it launches next month.

Revealing the character posters of its lead pairing, Twenty-Five Twenty-One preps to gift viewers with an engrossing story.

The series traces stories of young romance and friendship in the backdrop of the turbulent East Asian Financial Crisis in 1998. Twenty Five Twenty One gives a wistful tap to nostalgic memories in the perspectives of five young people who thought they would never be apart.

Accordingly, Twenty-five Twenty-one is a collaboration between writer Kwon Do-eun and director Jung Ji Hyun. They are recognized for a realistic and emotional screenplay as well as detailed and polished orchestration. Their combined works include Search WWW, The King Eternal Monarch and You Are My Spring.

Drawing nostalgic appeal, the series traces the romantic development between the main leads. Along with that, the chemistry of five young people who are confused between friendship and love will also be highlighted.

Bolstering the story dynamics through their portrayals, Choi Hyun Wook, Bona and Lee Ju Myung join Kim Tae Ri and Nam Joo Hyuk in the lead cast.

Previously, the first teaser video was released by tvN. It previews the wistful interaction of Kim and Nam. Subsequently, their character posters revealed today further showcases glimpses of their respective roles.

The Story of Two Passionate Dreamers

The lead stars are seen jumping up happily from the bed in their room. The objects surrounding the photos faintly reveal their characters Na Hee-do and Baek Yi-jin.

First, Kim Tae-ri, who plays the role of Na Hee-do, a high school fencing aspirant, is maximizing her youthful side with denim overalls. The text: “I am too 18 to lose something” totally complements the relentless dreamer that she is. With a lovely smile like the spring sunshine, her passion and spirit inspire her not to give up despite failing.

Nam Joo Hyuk plays the role of Baek Yi-jin, the eldest son of a family that was devastated by the IMF crisis. He became a reporter after suddenly entering a difficult life. Donning blue jeans and a white shirt, he evokes a soft and confident smile.

On his poster the text “the times cannot take away happiness” alludes to how albeit confronting trials, he goals to be on the optimistic side.

Production company Hwa&Dam Pictures said, “In the character posters of Kim Tae-ri and Nam Joo-hyuk, we wanted to capture the youth full of dynamic energy who leap higher even if they fail and get frustrated. ”

Meanwhile, tvN’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Twenty-Five Twenty-One will be broadcast for the first time at 9:10 pm on February 12.
