Ahead of the series release, If You Wish Upon Me gives a glimpse of the uneasy encounter of lead actors Ji Chang Wook and Sung Dong Il.
Directed by Kim Yong Wan and written by Ryeong Su, If You Wish Upon Me tells the story of Yoon Gyeo-rye (Ji Chang Wook), a precarious young man who barely has a reason to live.
After imprisonment, he gets to work as a volunteer in a hospital where patients get to fulfill their last wishes. He then meets Kang Tae-shik (Sung Dong Il), the passionate volunteer group leader who knows everything about the hospital’s tradition.

In the drama, Gyeo-rye and Tae-shik become entangled in an accident that later affects their relationship, building up curiosity in the story between the two of them.
The newly released photos display the uncomfortable meeting of the characters, forming an unusual atmosphere.
Gyeo-rye sits alone on the sand of a beach with loneliness seen in his facial features, such as eyes and eyebrows, establishing a gloomy aura.
Meanwhile, Tae-shik creates tension with his bitter eyes. Looking from afar, Tae-shik immediately approaches Gyeo-rye and talks to him.
After the sudden confrontation, the two characters display different reactions.
In the other photo, Ji Chang Wook holds his dog with a startling expression, while Sung Dong Il shows his furious face, which draws more interest to the storyline.
The production team praises the two actors for working hard and asks viewers to look forward to more of their scenes in the upcoming series premiere.
“Ji Chang Wook and Sung Dong Il talked a lot before and after filming and tried to show the best teamwork, and I think the result was well contained in the drama. Please look forward to their onscreen relationship.”
