Creative Leaders Group Eight has rounded up the lead cast for the Jane The Virgin Korean remake!
Titled 오늘부터 우리는 From Today We (LT), it is a work based on the popular American rom-com TV show Jane The Virgin.
Directed and written by Jung Jung Hwa, the series follows the eventful life of a woman named Oh Woo Ri, who wants to preserve her chastity before marriage. However, due to a medical examination mistake, she ends up getting pregnant.
Notably, the series is a reunion drama for Im Soo Hyang and Sung Hoon after a decade. They both debuted in the drama, New Tales of Gisaeng.
The Lead cast
Im Soo Hyang will portray the lead role Oh Woo Ri, an assistant writer on a makjang drama that is extremely popular. Despite her unexpected pregnancy, she is an independent woman who pioneers her life solely with her own choices.
The actress is well-known for taking up diverse roles in dramas such as My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, Graceful Family, and When I Was The Most Beautiful.
Sung Hoon suits up to the role of Raphael, the biological father of Oh Woo Ri’s child and the CEO of a cosmetics company. He gives off a cold impression and has a chic personality, but on the inside, he is a romanticist who wants to meet his true love and find happiness.
Popular for his roles in My Secret Romance and Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) season 1 and 2, the actor is expected to provide viewers a new look for his new character.
Meanwhile, Shin Dong Wook transforms into Lee Kang Jae, a violent crimes unit detective who has strong principles and beliefs in life. As Oh Woo Ri’s boyfriend, he is a gentleman who strongly respects and deeply understands her.
The actor’s previous stint includes My Unfamiliar Family and Dr. Romantic 2.
Lastly, Hong Ji Yoon plays Lee Ma Ri, a woman whose personality is completely fake except for her beautiful looks. She is a scheming and manipulative woman who intentionally approached Rafael with the objective of marrying him. At the same time, she has an unexpected side that cannot be hated.
Building her own acting spectrum regardless of genres, the actress appeared in dramas My Country: The New Age and My First First Love.
