Traditional mind doctors that would counsel warm prescriptions would provide pleasant energy in a new series on tvN in August.
The new Monday-Tuesday drama, 조선 정신과 의사 유세풍 Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong (LT) will be produced in seasons and is based on a well-loved novel of the same name, which won the Excellence Award in the 2016 Korea Story Contest.
In charge of the drama adaptation is Director Park Won-guk, who was loved by the public for Special Labor Inspector Jo and Ruler: Master of the Mask. Penning the script are writers Park Seul-gi, Choi Min-ho, and Lee Bom.
In the drama, Kim Min Jae takes the role of Yoo Se-poong, a genius acupuncturist who suffers from insomnia. Equipped with excellent skills and a beautiful appearance, while on the road to success, he gets caught up in an unexpected incident.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyang Gi portrays Seo Eun-woo, a widow born from a provincial aristocratic family. She is a woman of keen observation skills and extraordinary empathy.
On the brink of becoming an involuntary devotee, she meets Yoo Se-poong and her life changes.
Next, Kim Sang Kyung plays the role of Gye Ji-han, a geeky doctor who also mentors Se-poong. He appears to be materialistic, but the more you get to know him, the more genuine he is.
Meanwhile, tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong will be broadcasted for the first time at 10:30 pm on Monday, August 1.
