MBC affirms the newest drama lead pair for its Friday-Saturday spot!
꼭두의 계절 The Season of Kkokdu (LT) tells the story of the “god of death” who comes down to earth to punish humans every 99 years. He then meets a doctor with cryptic abilities while assuming a visiting doctor identity.
Featuring a robust roster of showrunners, the series foretells a special romance story that would harmonize the world of the living and the afterlife.
The otherworldly premise will be made engrossing by the creative team. Kang Yi-heon and Heo Jun-woo (Less Than Evil) and Baek Su-chan (Alice, Beautiful Gongshim) plus Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out The Event) collaborate for this series.
An enigmatic fantasy love story is set to be colored by the lead stars known for their superb character immersion.
In the drama, Kim Jung Hyun (Mr. Queen, Crash Landing on You) plays the role of Kkokdu, an oddball grim reaper who enters the body of human Do Jin-woo. Cursed to immortality for angering the Creator, he is in pursuit of breaking the curse.
Next, Im Soo Hyang (Doctor Lawyer, Woori The Virgin) takes on the role of Han Gye-jeol, a doctor who graduated from a last-ranking medical school. Constantly facing discrimination, her life changes after meeting Jin-woo who pledges to back her up.
The production team invites viewers to anticipate the warm chemistry between Kim Jung Hyun and Im Soo Hyang.
