May I Help You (WT) tells the story of mutual cooperation between a funeral director and a go-to guy of an errand service company.
In the drama, Baek Dong-ju, a funeral director grants the wishes of the deceased. She partners with a man called Butler Kim whose work is running errands.
They listen to requests and help the dead and the living achieve those wishes. Creepy but warm, ironic but heartbreaking, the bizarre requests and adventures will gift heartening stories and pleasant laughter.
In charge of the production is Director Shim So Yeon who worked on Welcome 2 Life and Here’s My Plan. Writer Lee Seon Hye (20th Century Boy and Girl and Reply 1997) pens the script. Rounding up the main cast are Song Deok Ho, Han Dong Hee, Tae In Ho, Lee Kyu Han and Oh Dae Hwan.
Previously, May I Help You unveiled a teaser poster showing the awkward meeting of Baek Dong-ju and Butler Kim in front of the errand service building office. Interestingly, the main poster dropped today shows the lead stars sitting side by side lost in their own thoughts.
The text on the poster hints at the encounter between an equally strange man and woman. While Dong-ju surmises in a stoic emotion, Butler Kim also ponders with a faint smile.
Dong-ju who has a strange ability to communicate with the dead grants their wishes. If not, she will have to endure each day without any luck.
On the other hand, Butler Kim is the ace of the errand service. He runs anywhere in the world and helps with anything if the customer wants it.
The production team promises an endearing synergy between the main leads.
“The strange teamwork of Baek Dong-ju and Butler Kim, who listens to and helps ‘anything’ beyond life and death, will be portrayed in a pleasant and warm manner. You can look forward to what the requests are and the perfect chemistry between Lee Hyeri and Lee Jun Young.”
MBC’s new Wednesday-Thursday drama May I Help You premieres on October 19.
