tvN has been unveiling striking teasers of its upcoming weekend drama, and it definitely tells a lot of intrigue featuring its female leads.
Mine revolves around the stories of strong women who escape the prejudice of the world. Lee Bo Young and Kim Seo Hyung are rightful owners of these new roles. The talented and versatile actresses are set to draw characters of elite and privileged women.
Boasting an exceptional creative team, Mine will be penned by Baek Mi-kyeong of Strong Girl Bong Soon, The Lady in Dignity and This is My Love fame. In-charge of the production is director Lee Na-jeong. Her portfolio includes Love Alarm, Fight For My Way and Oh My Venus.
For her newest role, acclaimed actress Lee Bo Young takes the role of Seo Hee-soo. She is a former top actress and the second daughter-in-law of a chaebol family.
During a trip, she accidentally meets Hyowon Group’s second son, Han Ji-yong (Lee Hyun Wook), and falls in love with him. She takes care of her husband’s son like her own and starts her new life as a rich household daughter-in-law.
From the outside she looks like a live version of Cinderella whom people can be jealous of. However, the treatment she receives in the family is not at all pleasant.
Meanwhile, Kim Seo Hyung portrays the first daughter-in-law of Hyowon Group’s family as Jung Seo-hyun. She runs Seohyun Gallery and was born to a chaebol family. Thus, she has a natural sense of guilt, dignity and foresight.
Her cold persona complements her attitude to a loveless marriage. She’d rather focus in keeping her dignity and prestige.
Mine is slated for May premiere on tvN following the slot to be vacated by Vincenzo.
