Signaling the beginning of a much-awaited year-end series, My Demon held its first script reading with its committed actors and creative team.
My Demon follows the contract marriage between the devilish conglomerate heiress and the demon who lost his powers. It is a contract with the devil that gives finite happiness yet leads to hell.

Kim Yoo Jung plays Do Hee, an heiress to a chaebol group who does not trust anyone and falls in love with the devil. Although she is harsh on the outside, she is soft on the inside, and although she looks delicate, she is a strong person.
Song Kang plays the role of Jung Gu-won, a flawless and deadly demon. Having reigned as a top predator for over 200 years while belittling humans, he becomes entangled with Do-hee and suddenly loses his abilities. He must protect her to prevent extinction.
Enemies are everywhere for Do-hee. It is a point to watch if Guwon who appears in front of her, who is cynical about love, will be a ‘savior’ or a ‘destroyer.

Accordingly, the script reading event was attended by director Kim Jang-han, writer Choi A-il and trustworthy actors Lee Sang Yi, Kim Hae Sook, Jo Hye Joo, Kim Tae Hoon, Jo Yeon Hee, Lee Yoon Ji, Kang Seung Ho, Seo Jeong Yeon, and Heo Jeong Do.
They gave passionate performances and the synergy among the actors can be felt maximizing the charm of the delightful and intriguing characters.
Highly-Anticipated Lead Pairing
Leading the scene with their impeccable character immersions is Kim Yoo Jung who transforms into Do Do-hee, a future chaebol group heiress whom no one can trust and who loves her devil.
Do-hee is an outsider in the Mirae Group. She realizes the truth of the world early on and becomes cool-headed, and yet is cynical about love. She enters into a contract with the ‘devil’ Gu-won and undergoes a change beyond her imagination.
Kim Yoo Jung drew attention by colorfully expressing Do-hee’s sweet and salty charms with detailed emotional lines.
Next, Song Kang undergoes an unprecedented transformation into the flawless and deadly demon Guwon. He is a devil who has enjoyed eternal life by making a dangerous yet sweet deal with humans by pledging his soul as collateral.
He, who regarded humans as insignificant and reigned as a top predator for over 200 years, becomes entangled with Do Do-hee, a very strange woman, and loses his powers for a moment.
Song Kang perfected his twisted charm of redemption as the devil who must protect Do-hee, who has robbed him of his own abilities to prevent his extinction.
The lead pair heightened anticipation for their visual chemistry and how they will paint the already admired fantasy-romance series.
Meet The Supporting Cast of “My Demon”
Taking the role of Joo Seok-hoon, a future investment representative and elite is Lee Sang Yi. Seok-Hoon is the nephew of Mirae Group founder Joo Cheon-Sook (played by Kim Hae Sook) and the only person Do-Hee feels a kinship with. Lee Sang Yi demonstrated a superb shift of his emotions as something stirred deep in his heart when Gu-won appeared next to Do-hee.
Kim Hae Sook plays the role of Chairman Joo Cheon-sook, who turned Mirae Group into a leading conglomerate with her bare hands. She is eccentric but cannot be hated. Do-hee affectionately calls her ‘Mrs. Joo’ and Cheon-suk whom she relies on more than anyone else. Instead of her children, whom she cannot trust, she considers Do-hee special.
Jo Hye Joo transforms into Jin Ga-young, who wants to become Gu-won’s only companion. Ga-young, who believes she was saved after meeting Gu-won at the edge of a cliff, is a person who disapproves of Do-hee, who suddenly appears one day. Jo foreshadows the performance of Ga-young, a dancer whose specialty is traditional double-sword martial arts, doubling down on her unpredictable charm.
Raising the contention in the story are the characters portrayed by Kim Tae Hoon as Noh Seok-min, Cheon-suk’s first son and future electronics CEO who lost his mother’s trust and Jo Yeon Hee as Kim Se-ra, Seok-min’s wife and future electronics managing director who wore a social mask.
Lee Yoon Ji plays Noh Su-an, Cheon-suk’s second daughter and CEO of Mirae Apparel. Lee Yoon Ji flexibly portrays Su-an’s colorful face, which pretends to be noble, but her true self always pops out thanks to her twin sons, Austin and Justin.
Kang Seung-ho plays the role of Noh Do-kyung, the only son of Seok-min and Se-ra and the head of Future Electronics. The rising actor portrays Do-kyung’s dangerous side with his duplicitous attitude.
Do-hee and Gu-won’s helpers are characterized by Seo Jung Yeon as AI-line secretary Shin Myung-seo and Heo Jeong Do as Park Bok-kyu who helps Gu-won blend with humans and is a person who remembers his past lives.
SBS’ new Friday-Saturday drama My Demon will premiere at 10 PM on Friday, November 24.
