Tender and emotional, the Now We Are Breaking Up first teaser hints at a sentimental romance for the two characters.
Directed by Lee Gil Bok and penned by Je In, Now We Are Breaking Up gives a new taste of emotions as it would narrate stories of emotional love as well as poignant breakups.
In the drama, Song Hye Kyo plays Ha Young Eun, a manager of a design team to a well-known fashion label. Meanwhile, Jang Ki Yong portrays Yoon Jae Geuk, a popular freelance photographer who got the looks and a great social status.
Before its highly anticipated premiere on November 12, SBS had released the first drama teaser.
The clip begins with the appearance of Song Hye Kyo and Jang Ki Yong gazing at each other in the rain. Standing face to face under one umbrella, the two silently exchange profound feelings such as affection and sadness.
At that moment, the text “Let’s at least love while we’re breaking up” appears. It implies a message that breakups are just another part of the process of loving rather than viewing it as goodbyes.
The next scene shifts into Song Hye Kyo who is teary-eyed and about to break into tears. As her image fades, Jang Ki Yong stands alone in the rain.
