Billed to showcase different aspects of love, most especially the bittersweet pain of goodbyes, Now We Are Breaking Up is Song Hye Kyo’s small screen return after two years.

Directed by Lee Gil Bok and written by Je In, Now We Are Breaking Up gives a new taste of emotions as it would narrate stories of emotional love as well as poignant break-ups. 

Taking the Friday-Saturday slot of SBS, the series premieres on November 12 for the network’s fall offering.

In the drama, Ha Young-eun (Song Hye Kyo), is a manager of a design team to a well-known fashion label. Meanwhile, Yoon Jae-Guk (Jang Ki Yong) got the looks and a great social status. He is also a popular freelance photographer.

In the released teasers of the female lead, Song Hye Kyo lives a cold and distant persona who prioritizes smart stability first. As such she is diligent in her role as the design team leader of a fashion company.


Beautiful and sensual, she is a professional at work and in love. Song is expected to showcase both the sentiments of a career woman who has realistic love beliefs in her 30’s as Ha Young-eun. She is a character who loves her job and does her best in everything.

Meanwhile, SBS’s new romance melodrama, Now We Are Breaking Up is a work created by Misty writer Je In and Romantic Doctor 2 director Lee Gil Bok.

Now We Are Breaking Up premieres on November 12 on SBS. International fans can watch it on Viu.
