Marking his 9th drama on SBS, Namgoong Min challenges the story of a poor lawyer with exemplary intellect and skills.
One Thousand Won Lawyer (LT) won the Grand Prize at the 2015 SBS Screenplay Contest. It was supposed to air in 2016 but the similarity with then KBS 2TV series My Lawyer, Mr. Jo emerged. Thus, the project was temporarily shelved.
The series is written by Choi Soo-jin and Choi Chang-hwan who both worked on the hit series Defendant.
Joining the prolific actor in the cast are Kim Ji Eun, Choi Dae Hoon, Lee Deok Hwa, Park Jin Woo, and Gong Min Jung.
In the drama, Namgoong Min takes on the role of Chun Ji-hoon, the most cost-effective courtroom hero that can be paid one thousand won.
Kim Ji-eun, from a prestigious family in the legal profession, has splendid specs and a brilliant future plays the role of Baek-ma-ri.
Esteemed veteran actor Lee Deok Hwa is expected to show off his unique charisma by playing the role of Baek Hyun-moo, a representative lawyer who founded a large law firm Baek and the grandfather of a hundred animals.
In addition, Park Jin Woo suits up to the role of reliable law firm clerk foretelling a Sherlock and Watson combination with Namgoong Min.
Lastly, Gong Min-jung plays Na Ye-jin, a reliable senior that her juniors look up to who calls herself a public prosecutor.

A Story of Justice For All Ages
Contriving a story of justice for the underprivileged who are not protected by the law, the script reading is full of cheerful laughter and warm emotions.
In particular, Namgoong Min’s witty ad-lib and dazzling defense play in the court scenes are key points to anticipate in the series.
Hinting his new character is quite different from his previous roles, Namgoong Min shares his thoughts about the project.
“It’s a project I’m very much looking forward to. Working with the writer and director was nice. It is a drama that people of all ages can comfortably watch. I will show you a lot of bright sides.”
Meanwhile, Kim Ji Eun describes her latest series as a hero-centric story and encourages the viewers to watch it.
Echoing his co-star remarks, Choi Dae Hoon assures a comfortable, fun, and heart-warming story that will be enjoyed by the viewers.
One Thousand Won Lawyer will be broadcast following the spot to be vacated by Today’s Webtoon every Friday and Saturday.
