SBS upcoming drama Our Beloved Summer gives viewers the perfect chemistry between Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi.
Our Beloved Summer foreshadows the reunion of Choi-Woong (Choi Woo Shik) and Gook Yeon-Soo (Kim Da Mi), who were once passionately in love but broke up bitterly.
Additionally, this series also threads the story of the first love of young people who met again after 10 years due to the gaining popularity of the documentary they filmed when they were still together.
Conveying the complex and subtle emotions experienced at the conclusion of their relationship by stating bluntly that they should not meet again.
Moreover, following the first teaser and poster, which invoked recollections of a new first love, the recently released second teaser video depicts Choi-Woong and Gook Yeon-Soo’s love story.
Prone to having quarrels, as the young lovers were in 19th grade, they eventually became so attached to one another that they did not even consider the possibility of breaking up.
A Sneak Peek On Our Beloved Summer
In the teaser video, it highlights Choi-Woong saying, “Do not throw me away,” and Yeon-Soo remarking, “Do you like me a lot?” Over the gentle clasping of hands and a slight smile, indicating a good time for them.
Choi-Woong and Yeon-Soo, however, suffer a moment of separation, just like any other couple. The audiences’ hearts ache as Choi-Woong screams, “What is the reason we have to break up!” toward Gook, who has turned coldly.
Following that, the reunion of Choi-Woong and Gook Yeon-soo, who met again over time, adds to the anticipation.
At first sight, Choi-Woong and Gook Yeon-Soo appear to be making a reminder documentary. Choi Woong’s front door opens with a confession: “Is this the pain of an office worker struggling to eat and live?” “I thought we would never get entangled again…” was added to the image of two people facing each other.

Main Lead Cast Character Portrayal
Choi Woo-shik plays Choi-Woong, a free-spirited young man who becomes serious when he discovers something he desires. He lacks meaningful dreams and is accustomed to concealing them.
Meeting with Gook Yeon-soo, who appeared unexpectedly after six years, Choi Woong examines a new side of the relationship with a different perspective.
Kim Da Mi then portrays Gook Yeon-Soo, a realistic public relations specialist who is relentless in her pursuit of achievement. When she was in school, she was an honor student who never missed first place in the entire school, and she eventually became a well-known publicist.
Similarly, she has been running alone in search of achievement, yet she is a character who lives in harsh reality with wounds and emptiness.
As she reunites as a business partner with Choi-Woong, whom she had broken up with after he stated that he should not see her even if she died, the feelings she has been battling begin to unravel.
Meanwhile, Our Beloved Summer will premiere its first episode on SBS on December 6 at 10:00 p.m.
