Our Beloved Summer launches a quick peek at Choi Woo Shik and Kim Da Mi’s portrayal as a funny high school couple.
Directed by Kim Yoon Jin and written by Lee Na Eun, Our Beloved Summer narrates the story of a high school couple who broke up but got back together again.
Choi-Woong (Choi Woo Shik) was known as a free-spirited boy but gets serious when he finds something he wants. Her girlfriend, Gook Yeon-Soo (Kim Da Mi) always aims to be on top and tries to live her life to the fullest.
Unfortunately, they broke up and blurts out that they should not meet again anymore. However, after 10 years, a documentary that they filmed when they were still together gained popularity, and they met again after a long time.
A Good Laugh From the Couple
Our Beloved Summer released its first video teaser and gave a glimpse of what kind of relationship do Choi-Woong and Yeon-Soo have.
Wearing their uniforms, their personality is so far from each other. The cheerful aura of Choi-Woong reflected as he was shouting relentlessly in the hallway. Meanwhile, Yeon-Soo proves that she is a decent and clever woman just by her body language.
We can also expect that there are many funny scenes from the drama just like their PE class when Yeon-Soo uses the head of Choi-Woong to receive the ball. There are also scenes where Yeon-Soo is so used in making Choi-Woong angry.
However, the audience is curious about how these two would eventually fall in love with each other, and what provokes them to end their relationship. After 10 years, would their feelings for each other burn up again, and finally fight for their love?
The synergy of Woo Shik and Da Mi is anticipated by many as they retell the realistic romance and heartbreaks between high school lovers.
