Lee Ji Ah is all set for her desperate payback in Pandora: Beneath The Paradise!
Pandora: Beneath the Paradise is a revenge drama about a woman living a life everyone envies. But when she recovers her lost memories, she punishes the people who manipulated her destiny.
Penning the script is writer Kim Soon-ok who wrote the hit series The Penthouse, The Last Empress and Wife’s Temptation. Director Choi Young-hoon (One The Woman) calls the shots of the production.
For the lead role, Lee Ji Ah plays Hong Tae-ra transforming into ‘the incarnation of revenge’. She faces the terrifying truth that her life was someone’s plan, and she throws herself in to find out who was behind it to exact revenge and protect her beloved family.
The released character stills and poster showcase the life of Hong Tae-ra, portrayed by Lee Ji Ah, whose perfect life is shaken as she recovers her lost memories of the past.
In the released poster, Hong Tae-ra is pointing her gun at someone, shedding tears of anger and sadness. Her determination to avenge herself against people that falsely created a terrible tragedy reflects her inner turmoil.
Also, the phrase “I will pay you back for manipulating fate” foretells how she becomes an incarnation of revenge. It raises curiosity about why she has no choice but to risk her life after retrieving her lost memories.
In contrast to her previous character stills where she epitomizes gracefulness and elegance, Hong Tae-ra’s character development hints at intrigue and excitement.
Previously, the actress revealed her reason for choosing the project.
“The script was really good, and I felt fascinated by Hong Tae-ra’s character the moment I read it.”
She also praised the working interaction with the creative team.
“The director always gives the best decision considering all the staff, actors, and the situation on the set. The writer also makes me feel trusting and is considerate for the project. With that, I am working on filming with a grateful heart for being able to work with a good script, directing, and great staff.”
Pandora: Beneath The Paradise will be broadcast for the first time on March 11 at 9:10 pm on tvN.
