We got a few more days left before the premiere of Sisyphus, and I’m personally enjoying its promotional stage.

Depicting the journey of a genius engineer and a female warrior to change the future and save the world, Sisyphus is billed as fantasy-mystery drama. It deals with realistic emotions such as “anxiety about tomorrow and regret about yesterday”.

When we look back on the past, there are always moments we regret. The same goes for the main leads of Sisyphus. Han Tae-Sul (Cho Seung Woo), who lost his older brother who had always believed in and supported him, was trapped in the past and could not get out. Kang Seo-hae (Park Shin Hye), who lost his loved ones due to the war, looks back at the past to change the future.

With this premise, Park Shin-hye was asked if given an opportunity to change something in her past, what will she choose and why.

Responding soundly, she gave a convincing answer. “There’s not a big moment in my past that I want to go back. There were moments in my life that I regretted, but the choices I had in the past define what I am right now.

“Rather than thinking that I want to go back to a point in the past, I want to live the given moments to me at present as much as I can,” the actress added.

In this way, Park Shin Hye’s mental strength resembles her newest character who has to present a role typically given to male actors. Needless to say, it is creating expectation to what kind of character she will bring as Seo-hae.
