Cha Tae Hyun is up to educate future police officers in KBS’s new drama Police University!
Directed by Yoo Kwan Mo and written by Min Jung, this new comedy-drama will release new episodes every Monday and Tuesday beginning July.
The drama depicts the story of Yoo Dong Man (Cha Tae Hyun), a Police University Professor for 20 years.
Dong Man has various experiences in different crime cases since his job as a detective is quite long.
He is also a member of the cyber investigation team and works passionately in catching criminals.
In the National Police University, he met Kang Sun Ho (Jung Jin Young), a first-year student and a genius hacker who get to work with Dong Man on a case.
Tae Hyun’s Character Portrayal as a Dependent Police Officer
In the first batch of photos released, Cha Tae Hyun’s role as Dong-man radiates simplicity having a comfortable style.
He only wears a simple green jacket, with his messy hairstyle and charismatic eyes. This draws attention and a good impression further layering his character of a veteran aura.
In the second photo, we can see him wearing his police officer uniform, coming off with a clean look with his necktie on and a serious look.
His seasoned detective demeanor shows he is ready to do future investigations.
In the last photo, Dong-man gave us a glimpse of his “duty mode on” look with his laptop on.
With these filming site stills, we can sense the seriousness of Dong Man’s convictions as he fulfills his duties as a police officer.
A Quick Glimpse of Cha Tae Hyun’s Acting
Cha Tae Hyun, who started his acting career way back in 1995, successfully proved that he is on the right spot.
He is known as a protagonist in the romantic-comedy My Sassy Girl and played the role of Kim Ja-hong in the hit movie “Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds.”
Previously, he collaborated with his friend Jo In Sung in the variety show Unexpected Business. He also appeared as a detective in Team Bulldog: Off-Duty Investigation
Looking deeper into the actor’s life, he married his first and only girlfriend whom he dated for 13 years. He constantly proves that you can start your own family and still enjoy your passion.
With his newest venture, he will once again make us laugh and serve our daily doses of positive vibes in Police University to air on July 26th, at 8:30 p.m on KBS2 TV.
