Sports-themed drama, Racket Boys is ready to smash heartening moments with its confirmed first broadcast date!
The series officially premieres on May 31 via SBS at 10 PM KST. It chronicles the story of young people dreaming of becoming badminton stars in a rural town.
Powered by the formidable creative team, expectations are high for this upcoming series. PD Jo Young Gwang (Innocent Defendant, Heart Surgeons) teams up with writer Jung Bo Hoon who penned Prison Playbook.
Oh Na Ra leads this new series about a badminton middle school club coach. Portraying Ra Young-ja, she is a living legend in the badminton world and the nation’s No. 1 junior high school coach for badminton. Pairing up with the actress is Kim Sang Kyung, also a middle school badminton team coach on the brink of being dismantled.
Talented young actors are also set to appear in the series including Tang Jun Sang, Kim Kang Hoon, Son Sang Yeon, Choi Hyun Wook, and Lee Jae In. Likewise, respected characters and seasoned actors Shin Jeong Geun, Kim Min Gi, Woohyun, Baek Ji Won, Jung Min Seong, and Park Hyo Joo round up the big cast.
In the first poster released, the six members of “racket boys” appeared. They wear colorful costumes and stand in a row, chasing after the village bus. In the background of a scenic vista at the foot of a mountain and the blue sky of a quaint village, small dreams begin.
Raising anticipation, the production company hopes to deliver healing through the story of Racket Boys.
