Romance, chasing dreams and anticipated thrillers decorate September 2020 Korean Dramas!
This season, one of my worries included expected delays on K-Drama productions. Fortunately, we are still getting by. Marking the last hurrah of summer, eight Korean dramas are expected to launch its first broadcast this month.
Based on the plot sketches, the stories would cater to wide range of audience. Notably, Park Bo Gum’s drama gift for his fans readies to take off. The well-loved actor entered military camp on August 31. In reverse story, Go Kyung Pyo, who completed his military service, returns in the small screen.
Other than that, reliable actors Choi Jin Hyuk, Kim Ha Neul, and Yoon Sang Hyun are joining the actors attendance for September 2020 Korean dramas. Their equally amazing junior actors Park So Dam, Seohyun, Byeon Woo Seok, Park Joo Hyun and Lee Do Hyun aim to broaden their blossoming career even more.
Additionally. Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol and Private Lives, which was supposed to premiere in September moved to October.

Lie After Lie

Misfortune after misfortune hits Lee Yoo Ri’s character in this new Channel A series. Because of that she started threading on lies after lies for her ultimate goal to get her daughter back.
In the drama, Lee Yoo Ri plays Ji Eun-soo, who lives a difficult life as her husband’s murderer. She was once the daughter-in-law of a chaebol family, but faced a desperate situation after the loss of her husband and her daughter. She then meets broadcast reporter Kang Ji-min, played by Yeon Jeong Hoon, whose warm and upright character will help Eun-soo in her struggles.
Joining the main cast are actors Im Joo Eun and Kwon Hwa Woon. Billed to paint affecting love stories, Lies of Lies is written by Kim Ji Eun.
Record of Youth

Prepping up for a moving tale of young people chasing their dreams, Record of Youth particularly touches on the debilitating truth of how even dreaming has been a luxury for them. Thus, igniting them to fight their own ways to fulfill it.
It boasts a formidable young cast including Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam and Byeon Woo Seok. Its creative team is also a dream tandem. Lauded for his top-notch and creative series, Director Ahn has scored a highly-successful streak. His works include Stranger, Memories of the Alhambra and Watcher. Screenwriter Ha Myung Hee of High Society, Doctors and Temperature of Love fame, is tasked to pen the script.

Zombie Detective

Zombie Detective banks on an appealing material that is thrilling and comic at the same time.
The premise of zombies coexisting harmoniously with human beings piques interest right away. In the drama, Choi Jin Hyuk takes the role of Choi Moo Young. He exudes flirtatious and ferocious appeal. After two years of losing memory, he resurrects as a zombie. As he struggles to his new persona, he opens the second act of his life to a new neighborhood as a detective.
Rookie actress Park Joo Hyun suits up as Gong Seon Ji, a writer of a current affairs/prosecution program. She is unique, optimistic and with impeccable sense of justice. When a witness from an investigation she is working got attacked by gangsters, she gets entangled with Kim Moo Young.

18 Again

18 Again traverses the story of a man who wrinkled time and returned to his high school years, just before getting a divorce. The new series will be helmed by Ha Byung Hoon of Go Back Couple fame. The well-loved KBS2 TV series has garnered positive raves with its heartfelt narrative. It is also based on 2009 fantasy film, 17 Again.
Yoon Sang Hyun suits up as 37 year old Hong Dae Young, a regular middle-aged man who once had a glorious youth being a basketball genius. Yoon’s character who lives a regretful life with divorce concerns and losing his job gets a chance to be in his 18 year old self again.
With a soul of 37 year old, he changes his life and takes a new identity. Taking the role of young Hong Dae Young is dashing actor Lee Do Hyun
Kim Ha Neul plays the role of Jung Da Jung, a mother of 18-year-old twins and aspiring announcer. In the released photos, Kim channels the mood of a passionate announcer. Her goal, albeit hard, owing to her role as a mother to twins, aims to sympathize with women who struggles with their career because of marriage and pregnancy.
More Than Friends

Tracing and fulfilling a decade-long unrealized love is the driving point of jTBC drama, More Than Friends. It touches on the emotions of a woman harboring long-standing love to her friend; and the friend who realized late that he feels the same.
Friendship is also an expected element in the series headlined by Ong Seong Wu, Shin Ye Eun, and Kim Dong Jun.
The School Nurse Files

Painting the story of Ahn Eun-young (Jung Yu Mi), the series traverses her journey as a school nurse who realizes cryptic occurrences at her new school, she untangles the mysteries with the help of Classical Chinese teacher Hong In-pyo (Nam Joo Hyuk).
Nurse Eun-young has special ability to see “supernatural Jellies” that are invisible to everyone else. Representing invisible blobs of greed, the Jellies were inadvertently unleashed by In-pyo from its containment seal.
With Eun-young having the power to see the Jellies, she confronts a challenging life battling supernatural creatures. Lucky for her, she discovers that In-pyo has a special energy that recharges her power and protects her. Together, they wage war against the Jellies to defend the school and the students.
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol

Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol follows a lovable pianist named Gu Ra-ra (Go A Ra), whose life hits rock bottom when her family’s finances collapse. Gu Ra-ra meets the mysterious Sunwoo Jun (Lee Jae Wook), a gruff guy who is happily living a carefree lifestyle as a freelancer. With laughter, tears and love, they come to mean something special to each other.
Expectant viewers are in for a treat since the production team behind Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol has quite an endearing reputation. Penning the script is writer Oh Ji Young whose works include the well-concocted My Secret Terrius and Shopping King Louie. Calling the shots of the filming process is Director Kim Min Kyung who co-directed Matrimonial Chaos.
Private Lives

In a world where data is no longer private, con artists uncover a sinister surveillance scheme headed by the government and a greedy corporation. Challenging the role of a con artist, Seohyun pairs up with Go Kyung Pyo who will mark his post-military service drama. Rounding up the cast are Kim Hyo Jin and Kim Young Min.
The series initially was set to release for September air date but has since moved to October 7.
