MBC unveils Jin Ki Joo as the female lead in drama Showtime Begins pairing up with Park Hae Jin.
Directed by Lee Hyung Min and written by Ha Yoon Ah, Showtime Begins is a comical investigative drama wherein the lead characters are working with ghosts.
Jin Ki Joo is set to play a police officer role. She will work together with Park’s character Cha Cha-woong who is an employer and a magician who handles ghosts.
As he works with ghosts, Cha-woong meets the passionate female officer and they will work together to solve a mystery case.
Jin Ki Joo as a Passionate Police Officer
In the drama, Jin plays Go Seul-Hae, a female police officer who has a mysterious secret but is serious about her job.
She aims to be a detective and would tame Cha-woong on their adventure with ghosts.
Debuted in 2015 in the drama Twenty Again, the actress used to work as an employee in Samsung SDS and a reporter for SBS.
In her acting career, she started with support roles in dramas like Splash Splash Love, One More Happy Ending, and in the film Little Forest.
Moreover, because of her exemplary skills, she got her first lead role in Come and Hug Me. After this, she played Jung Gal-Hee/Veronica Park in The Secret Life of My Secretary and Lee Bit Chae-Woon in Homemade Love Story.
Expectations are set on how her chemistry as an actress can match Park Hae Jin’s. Since Jin built her own filmography, the audience believes that she would live up to her role as a police officer.
Moreover, in terms of the drama’s plot, viewers should await how the romance between Seul-hae and Cha-woong unfolds as they went to work with ghosts.
Meanwhile, the casting of MBC’s Showtime Begins is in the process and is expected to air in the first half of 2022.
