It’s a December launch for the eagerly awaited romance series Snowdrop!
Starring Jung Hae In and Kim Jisoo, JTBC’s newest drama offering, Snowdrop, confirmed its broadcast premiere in December along with its first teaser poster.
In the unveiled image, the series’ lead couple is shown dancing together in the background of an open house party. They look immersed in a romantic world of their own.
Attracting attention, the spotlight is on Jung Hae In and Jisoo who are smiling and looking at each other. A text on the poster says, “Life’s first brilliant love blooms” – further hinting at endearing feelings to be shared by the love pair.
Set in Seoul in 1987, Snowdrop tells a compelling love story between a prestigious university student Suho (Jung Hae In) who hides in a dormitory of a women’s university when he was helped by Young-ro (Jisoo).
A New Romantic Pairing To Root For
Jung Hae In takes the role of Im Suho, a prominent university student who grew up in Germany. He is a perfect man whom everyone adores with his soft charisma, sweet smile, and evident charm. However, one day a cryptic incident leads him to suddenly barge in a female dormitory covered with blood.
Revealing why he chose to work on Snowdrop, Jung cited that it is the first historical drama that he will challenge. He aims to draw another memorable character in the new series.
BLACKPINK’S Jisoo, who decks her first female lead role as Eun Young-ro, takes the role of the female college student who cured Suho of his injuries amidst his suspicious situation. Prior to their unexpected encounter, Young-ro harbored admiration towards Suho when she saw him in a social gathering.
She is a lively freshman student and the mood maker of Lake Women’s University dormitory room 207, who will inescapably fall in love with the mysterious man she helped.
Highly-awaited not just for its lead stars and riveting story, Snowdrop will be another collaboration of SKY castle writer-PD tandem.
Rounding up the main cast are Yoo In Na, Jang Seung Jo, Yoon Se Ah, Kim Hye Yoon and Jung Yu Jin.
Snowdrop is set for December 2021 broadcast on JTBC.
