Bringing Light In The Midst Of The Pandemic

Director Kwon Ik Joon expounds about So Not Worth It as a negative title. He shares, “The sitcom is a title that feels bright and cheerful but has a negative feeling.”

“When I planned (the sitcom), I thought young people in Korea were living too hard. It was a pity that they were afraid of the future and anxious and could not enjoy the reality.”

In addition, So Not Worth It communicates to everyone that one “should live today without any worries.” Park Se Wan’s character plays a huge role in reflecting the youth, “enjoying the reality.”

For Director Kwon Ik Joon, leading the youthful series is a huge opportunity that Netflix gave him. He was inspired to create another youth sitcom since these genres are fading.

“I thought it would be a lot of consolation for sitcoms as the atmosphere is gloomy and frustrating because of Covid-19. I hope that the Korean broadcasting industry will produce lots of sitcoms this time because it is a genre that you can watch without worrying about,” Director Kwon Ik Joon ended.

Bringing Light Through Acting

When asked what certain charm they wanted to show, Park Se Wan, commented, “I want to let many people who don’t know me know me more than a certain charm.”

Furthermore, GOT7’s Choi Young Jae expressed his feeling as an idol and an actor. He voices out, “When I go on stage, the things that I care about feel different from acting.”

Youngjae continues,” I become extremely sensitive when I stand on stage rather than when I act. At the scene (So Not Worth It), I felt so comfortable that I could only remember filming comfortably.”

The idol and rookie actor also shares what advice he got from GOT7’s Jinyoung; “Do what you want to do.”

He also added, “The title of an actor is still awkward for me. I’ve been an idol for seven years, and it’s still awkward to have the title of an actor, but I feel interested in this great opportunity.”
