The Forbidden Marriage

A marriage con artist aims to scam a king in MBC’s new historical-romance series, The Forbidden Marriage!

Promising to add another delightful sageuk, The Forbidden Marriage explores the marriage ban ordered by King Yi Heon when he lost the crown princess seven years ago.

But then a con artist declares to the king that she can let the spirit of the dead princess possess her body.

Park Ju Hyun portrays Sorang, the hostess of the tea house providing relationship advice and secretly connecting couples.

Possessing excellent convincing verbal skills, she enters the palace and marks a turning point in her life.

Acquainting viewers to Sorang, the images shared reflects various emotions of the actress.

Next, Kim Young Dae challenges the role of a king in The Forbidden Marriage. He suits up as Yi Heon, the king of Joseon and a lover who can do anything for the woman he loves.

King Yi Heon is deeply saddened by the loss of the Crown Princess. But when he meets Sorang who claims she can show the Crown Princess’ spirit, his life changes.

Kim Young Dae completely bears the magestic aura of a king in his first stills. Contrary to the king’s usual solemn appearance, his flower-like beauty stands out.

Rounding up the lead cast, Kim Woo Seok plays the role of Lee Shin-won, a master swordsman with excellent martial arts skills. He appears cold but actually warm inside, even possessing a sweet and irresistible charm.

Assimilating to his character, Kim Woo Seok evokes a serious expression immersed in deep thought. In addition, the image of him staring at his opponent with a determined gaze while holding his sword tightly with both hands reveals the aspect of him being a charismatic warrior.

Meanwhile, MBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama The Forbidden Marriage premieres on December 9.
