The cast of The Good Detective 2 showcases their intense chemistry and acting prowess as they conclude their first script run-through.
Premiering as JTBC’s new Saturday drama starting on July 30, The Good Detective 2 raises expectations from their script-reading session. With the cast’s performances, they signal a stronger start for the drama’s sequel.
Led by Director Jo Nam Guk and Writer Choi Jin Won, they proudly welcome the detectives of the Incheon Western Police Department. Leading actors Son Hyun Joo, Jang Seung Jo, Cha Rae Hyung, Jung Soon Won, and more return more charismatic and fierce in their run-through.
Furthermore, the newly added cast, Kim Hyo Jin and Joong Moon Sung, adapted quickly and boost expectations as they layer the series’s narrative with their characters.
Additionally, new faces of actors are noted to appear in the sequel, including Choi Dae Hoon (Melancholia), Park Won Sang (Our Beloved Summer), and Song Young Chang (Cleaning Up) to name a few.
The Good Detective 2 continues and reunites the team of the Incheon Western Police Department and their hunt to uncover the secrets of various cases.
As the casts transform into their roles, they also transformed the recent table-read session into an actual investigation. Additionally, their acting skills harmonize and match with each other like what’ve they shown in the first season.
After finishing the script practice, Son Hyun Joo and Jang Seung Jo expresses;
“There was no awkwardness as if we met yesterday. Even when we were united after a long time, we felt like we were still together.”
On the other hand, Kim Hyo Jin and Jung Moon Sung, shared their experiences of working together with their new team.
“I was full of friendly energy, and I have a much more dynamic picture than I imagined, so I’m looking forward to the stronger season 2 as an actor.”
