Premiering on July 25, Try a Miracle in Us is a youth-centric, comic sports drama that follows the eccentric yet passionate Joo Ga-ram and the perpetually last-ranked Hanyang Physical Education High School rugby team as they fight to reach the top at the National Sports Festival.
The drama brings together director Jang Young-seok—celebrated for his work on Taxi Driver 2—and rising writer Im Jin-ah, whose sharp script won the top prize at the SBS Cultural Foundation’s screenwriting contest. Joining them is a vibrant and talented cast led by Yoon Kye Sang (as Joo Ga-ram), Im Se Mi (as Bae Ji-ji), and Kim Yo Han (as Yoon Sung-joon), generating buzz for their strong performances and fresh chemistry.
Yoon Kye Sang takes on the role of Joo Ga-ram, a former rugby superstar who vanished from the scene for three years, only to return suddenly as Hanyang’s new coach. His unexpected reappearance stirs up not just the team, but also Bae Ji-ji, his former girlfriend and the school’s no-nonsense shooting coach, played by Im Se-mi. The tension skyrockets when Joo Ga-ram casually greets her with a smile, only to be met with a gun pointed directly at him.

The production team confirmed, “The reunion romance between Yoon Kye-sang and Im Se-mi will be one of the drama’s key storylines. We plan to explore their emotional evolution through witty and unexpected situations—starting with a gun, no less—and show how both characters change after crossing paths again at Hanyang Physical Education High School.”
